Maggie Kelly
Podcast host, facilitator, strategist, and bloody good writer.
Meet Maggie
Maggie Kelly is an award-winning journalist and storyteller with a global career spanning over fifteen years.
Maggie has founded two highly successful content agencies, most recently launching Second Rodeo Creative specialising in digital-first brand strategy. Since moving back to Australia, Maggie has worked client-side in marketing and communications consultancy roles. In 2025, she joined the team at Reece to bring their tone of voice and brand identity to life.
Creative workshops are where Maggie comes to life: she is an experienced facilitator who gently guides your team through murky waters of creative decision making. Working with major brands such as NAB, Monash University, and Telstra, Maggie has built our content strategies for multinational teams trying to find new ways to tell old stories. (Spoiler alert: they needed some fresh storylines.)
Alongside her work in brand and content strategy, Maggie is a keen practitioner of future studies and strategic foresight. In 2024, she was mentored by the team at Snowmelt Sydney in strategic design, equipping her with a set of impressive skills in the framing and exploration of highly complex systemic challenges across both public and private sectors.
Maggie has also worked in the media for over a decade as a podcast host, television presenter, and freelance journalist, acting as a regular writer for the ABC, SBS, Newscorp mastheads and the Copenhagen Institute of Future Studies. In 2024, she won Best Parenting Podcast at the Australian Podcast Awards, and her latest podcast, Self Help(ed), launched in the top five and is fast becoming essential listening for millennials navigating life’s biggest transitions.
In her personal life, Maggie is a proud mum to Minty, four, who doesn’t care about any of this stuff and wants to know what’s for dinner.
